aviation-facts: Aircraft of The Day: Airbus A300B4-608ST BelugaWhy is it special? The Airbus Beluga was designed specifically to transport parts of other aircraft. At the moment, there are five operational Belugas. Their home base is in Toulouse, Southern France, where all Airbus aircraft are assembled. June 28th. The Beluga is an interesting plane, but I think I prefer the Pregnant Guppy:
